- Kaylene Smikle has scored in double figures in 23 of 25 games this year. Shyanne Sellers has scored in double figures in 19 of 23 games.
- Sellers is currently No. 16 on Maryland's all-time scoring list with 1,548 career points. She needs 48 points to pass Tianna Hawkins (1,595) at No. 15. Sellers' 496 career assists are No. 5 in the Maryland career record book. She needs 9 to pass Tate (500) at No. 4. - Sellers was named to the 10-player All-Big Ten Preseason Team for the second straight season. Sellers earned All-Big Ten First Team honors last year after averaging 15.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game.Â

- Head coach Brenda Frese is in her 23rd season in College Park. She's led the Terrapins to a record of 601-167 (.783), 14 conference titles, 20 NCAA Tournament bids in 22 postseasons, three Final Fours, seven Elite Eights, 11 Sweet Sixteens and the 2006 NCAA Championship.Â
- Frese owns a career record of 658-197 (.770) over her 26 years as a head coach.
- Frese was named National Coach of the Year by the AP, The Athletic and ESPN at the end of the 2020-21 season. In October 2021, Frese was the first woman inducted into the Washington DC Metro Basketball Hall of Fame.
- With the Terrapins' win at Nebraska on Feb. 14, 2021, Frese picked up win No. 500 at Maryland, which makes her the winningest coach in Maryland basketball history. Hall of Fame women's basketball head coach Chris Weller won 499 games in her 27 seasons (1975-02).
