Sellers Named to Women’s College All-Star Game Watch List

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Senior Shyanne Sellers of the 16th-ranked Maryland women's basketball team named to the Women's College All-Star Game Midseason Watch List presented by Herbalife, having been selected by a distinguished panel of national media experts to potentially compete in the national showcase event on April 5 in Tampa.

The 2025 Women's College All-Star Game will feature the top senior standouts who are on the precipice of hearing their names called in the WNBA Draft. Of the more than 60 players that appear on the watch list, 20 will ultimately be selected to participate in the event, which will be televised by ESPN2 at 3 p.m. ET on April 5.

Sellers, a native of Aurora, Ohio, is averaging 14.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists this season. She reached the 1,500 career points mark in Sunday's game vs. Illinois and is currently No. 18 on Maryland's all-time scoring list with 1,510 career points.

Sellers is No. 7 all-time in program history with 483 career assists. She needs four to pass Anjale Barrett (2008-12) at No. 6 (486) and six to pass Alyssa Thomas (2011-14) at No. 5 (488). Sellers' career free throw percentage of 81.5 percent is No. 3 all-time in Maryland women's basketball history.

Sellers has scored in double figures in 17 of 20 games played this season, including all 11 games in Big Ten play.

Sellers was named to the 10-player Preseason All-Big Ten Team for the second straight season earlier this fall. Last year, she earned All-Big Ten First Team honors and was a WBCA All-Region finalist.

The complete watch list can be found on the event's website at www.womenscollegeallstar.com. The final event roster will be announced the week of the event. Participants in the Women's College All-Star Game will be players that have exhausted or will for forego their remaining eligibility.

Last April, 20 of college basketball's top senior standouts converged in Cleveland to rekindle the postseason event that Intersport helped originally launch in 1998. There, five All-Americans, more than a dozen All-Conference standouts and four future WNBA draft picks competed in front of nearly 5,000 fans on the eve of the sport's national championship game.
