Box Score BLOOMINGTON, IN --Â The University of Maryland women's tennis team (9-6, 2-1 B1G) secured their second consecutive win in conference play, earning a road victory over Indiana 4-1 on Friday.
The Terps got things going early, with
Diya Challa and
Danielle Hack taking the No. 2 doubles match 6-3. Tamari Gagosdhize and
Oliwia Orlinska followed with a 6-3 win in the No. 3 doubles match to clinch the doubles point and a 1-0 lead for Maryland.
Kallista Liu and
Ema Kovacevic lead in the No. 1 doubles match 5-3 when the doubles point was clinched.
Oliwia Orlinska got the first singles point for the Terps, winning her match in straight sets 6-2, 6-2. Danielle Hack would get the second point for the Terps in the singles portion, taking a straight set victory as well 6-4, 6-4.
Kallista Liu dominated in her first set, getting out to an early lead to finish it off 6-3. In the second set, Liu and her opponent Lara Schnieder battled to a level score of 3-3. Liu would take the next three games over Schneider, securing the fourth point for the Terps and the win.
