Shyanne Sellers of the Maryland women's basketball team (23-7) earned Associated Press All-America Honorable Mention honors Wednesday.
Sellers earned All-Big Ten First Team honors from the media for the third straight season earlier this month. She is averaging 14.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game this season for the Terrapins.
Sellers, who was a Preseason All-Big Ten honoree, has scored in double figures in 23 of 28 games this season. She was named Big Ten Player of the Week once and to the Big Ten Player of the Week Honor Roll twice.
Sellers is currently No. 13 on Maryland's all-time scoring list with 1,626 career points. She needs 5 points to pass Marcia Richardson (1,630) at No. 12. Sellers' 514 career assists are No. 3 in the Maryland career record book. She is behind just Debbie Lytle (583) and Kristi Toliver (751). She is the first player in program history with 1,500 points, 500 rebounds and 500 assists.
Sellers' career free throw percentage of 82.4% is No. 2 in Maryland history, behind just Kristi Toliver (86.6%).
Bri McDaniel's career percentage of 78.5% is No. 10.
Maryland earned a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship and will host the First and Second Rounds at XFINITY Center this weekend. The Terps will host to No. 13 seed Norfolk State (30-4) in the first round Saturday at 4 p.m. in the Birmingham 2 Region.
