SUNSET, SC -- The Maryland women's golf team wrapped up at the Clemson Invitational Sunday at The Reserve at Lake Keowee. Freshman
Chananyu Chowiwattana finished 10th individually to lead Maryland.
Chowiwattana picked up her first career top 10 finish with a score of 209 (72-69-68), which set a new career low. She birdied or parred 52 of 54 holes in the event.
Junior
Nicha Kanpai tied for 33rd with a score of 215 (73-72-70), which was -1. She made nine birdies in the event. Senior
Panassaya Somchit finished even at 216 (74-69-73) and tied for 38th. Her 216 was her best score of the year so far.
Freshman
Anna Pillard tied for 48th with her score of 219 (72-76-71), which was +3. Junior
Tammy Wu earned a score of 229 (75-77-77).
As a team, the Terrapins finished ninth of 15 teams with a score of 859 (291-286-282), which was -5.
Next, Maryland will host the Terps Invitational April 6-7 at the University of Maryland Golf Course. Fans are welcome to attend. Parking and admission are free.
