Dante Trader Jr. have been named to the National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society.
Now in its 19th year, the Hampshire Honor Society recognizes college football players from all divisions of play. To qualify, you must have graduated or be a senior player who will graduate this spring/summer, have attained a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.2 and have been a starter or significant contributor throughout the 2024 season.
Bunyun, who earned his degree in Public Policy and is currently working on his master's in management studies, was an Academic All-Big Ten selection in both 2023 and 2024. After playing along the defensive line for his entire career, Bunyun became a full-time starter on the offensive line in 2024. According to Pro Football Focus, Bunyun allowed just five hits, six hurries and committed just one penalty while playing 636 of snaps at left guard.
Kaltenberger, who earned his Business degree from Purdue and is working on his master's in management studies from Maryland, had a strong season for the Terps. He started at center in all 12 games and surrendered just six hurries, tied for the fewest in the conference. Kaltenberger blocked for the third most productive passing offense in the Big Ten (275.7 ypg). In addition to his play on the field, Kaltenberger boasts three Academic All-Big Ten honors during his career.
Trader Jr., who is set to graduate with a degree in African American Studies this Spring, collected numerous academic awards during his time in College Park. He was named CSC Academic All-District in 2023 and was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection (2022-24). On the field, Trader boasts career totals of 190 tackles (123 solo), 16 pass deflections, five interceptions and one forced fumble. He finished among the top three in tackles for the Terps in each of his final three seasons in College Park.
