COLLEGE PARK, MD - The Terps hit the road after a bye weekend to take on Delaware in their final midweek non-conference road matchup of the 2025 season.

- Maryland enters the contest with a 16-25 overall record and a 3-13 mark in Big Ten play. The Terps are coming off a dominant 19-0 run-rule shutout over Maryland Eastern Shore, marking their largest shutout win since 2015. Maryland tallied season highs in both runs and hits (19) in the victory. Freshman Aubrey Wurst delivered a career-best performance in the circle, striking out 11 batters en route to her third complete-game shutout. Offensively, Sam Bean opened the scoring with a two-run homer, and Maryland exploded for seven runs in the third and 10 more in the fourth. - 2024 All-Big Ten Second Team honorees Mazie MacFarlane and Sydney Lewis have continued their standout play into the 2025 season.
- MacFarlane currently ranks third on the team with a .302 batting average and is second in both hits (39) and doubles (13). She shined in the series win over Rutgers, going 4-for-7 across two victories, launching two home runs, and driving in five RBIs—all while maintaining a perfect fielding percentage.
- Lewis has already surpassed her home run total from last season, hitting eight so far in 2025. She delivered a clutch performance in game one against Indiana, blasting her eighth homer in the top of the first inning to get the Terps on the board early. She currently leads the team in batting average (.339) and hits (39) among starters.

A Look Into the Terps' Pitching Staff
- Junior Bri Godfrey and freshman Aubrey Wurst lead the Maryland pitching staff, with Godfrey earning five wins and Wurst tallying six. Godfrey holds a 5.27 ERA and ranks third on the team with 36 strikeouts. She has thrown four complete games, including two shutouts. Wurst leads the staff with 47 strikeouts and carries a 3.96 ERA.
- Sophomore Julia Shearer, who also contributes in right field, has thrown four complete games and two shutouts. She owns a 6.38 ERA and is second on the team with 43 strikeouts.
- Junior Keira Booker, who has primarily served as a reliever but has recently made more starts, holds a 4.89 ERA. She has appeared in 16 games, recording 29 strikeouts and issuing 28 walks.
