Big Ten Home, Away Opponents Released

ROSEMONT, IL – The Big Ten Conference office announced the 2025-26 women's basketball series match ups on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Maryland will play a home-and-home series with Ohio State. The Terps will also host NCAA Tournament teams Indiana, Iowa, Northwestern, Washington and Oregon, as well as Penn State, Purdue and Wisconsin. The Terrapins will make road trips to USC, UCLA, Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska and Rutgers.
 
Big Ten women's basketball will play an 18-game conference schedule. Each team will play 16 single-game opponents (eight home/eight away) and one home and away opponent.
 
Maryland's non-conference schedule as well as game dates, times, and television assignments will be announced at a later date.

The Terrapins earned a record of 25-8 this past season and tied Ohio State for third in the Big Ten with a record of 13-5 in conference play. The Terps advanced to their fourth Sweet Sixteen in five years.
 
Maryland returns All-Big Ten honorees Bri McDaniel and Kaylene Smikle, as well as starter Saylor Poffenbarger for the 2024-25 season.
 
Head coach Brenda Frese and her staff signed four transfers in Yarden Garzon (Indiana), Gracie Merkle (Penn State / Bellarmine), Oluchi Okananwa (Duke), as well as freshmen Lea Bartelme, Addi Mack and Rainey Welson.
