
Jaxon Smith Named To USA Wrestling U23 Pan-Am Team

COLLEGE PARK, MD - Maryland All-American Jaxon Smith will represent USA Wrestling in the 2025 U23 Pan-Am Championships competing at 86 KG. The event will be held in Mexico from April 10-13.
Smith finished sixth in the 2025 NCAA Championships at 184 pounds. Smith earned All-American status for the first time in his career. He became Maryland's first All-American since Youssif Hemida did so in 2019 and is just the 21st wrestler in program history to achieve All-America status. Smith became the first wrestler under head coach Alex Clemsen to achieve All-America status. Smith finished fourth in the Big Ten Championships in 2025. He was a placer in the Big Tens in each of the last three years. (third in 2023, fourth in 2024, fourth in 2025).
