COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The Maryland women's golf team took fourth out of 14 teams in the inaugural Terps Invitational Monday at the University of Maryland Golf Course.
Three Terrapins - Karla Elena Vazquez Setzer,
Chananyu Chowiwattana and
Nicha Kanpai, finished in the top 10 individually. Vazquez Setzer tied for third and went even with a 216 (75-70-71). She tied her best finish in her career.
Chowiwattana tied for fifth with a score of 217 (73-72-72), which was +1. It was the highest finish of her career. Kanpai tied for seventh for her fourth top 10 finish this year. She earned a score of 218 (72-71-75), which was +5.
Daniela Burgos Ortega tied for 25th with a score of 224 (77-71-76), which was +8.
Tammy Wu tied for 35th with a score of 227 (74-74-79).
Julia Garcia finished 39th with a score of 228 (76-72-80).
Anna Pillard finished 40th with a score of 229 (76-72-81).Â
Senior
Panassaya Somchit earned a score of 232 (73-80-79).
AnPhi Lee earned a score of 246 (82-83-81).
As a team, the Terrapins earned a score of 886 (292-289-305), which was +22.
Next, the Terps will compete in the Big Ten Championships April 18-20 at Bulle Rock Golf Course in Havre de Grace, Md.
