The first weekend of the WNBA season is in the books. Maryland's five pros - Kaila Charles (Dallas Wings), Brionna Jones (Atlanta Dream), Diamond Miller (Minnesota Lynx), Alyssa Thomas (Phoenix Mercury) and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough (Atlanta Dream) - all had strong performances in their first weekend of play.

Diamond Miller
- Diamond Miller scored 12 points in 20 minutes off the bench in the Lynx' season-opening win over the Wings, 99-84, Friday night in Dallas
- Miller went 4-5 from the floor, 1-1 from outside the arc and added 3 assists and 2 steals.

- Kaila Charles added 8 points in 12 minutes off the bench for the Wings Friday in their season-opener vs. the Lynx.
- Charles nabbed 3 steals and 4 rebounds in her first game back in the league since 2023.

- Brionna Jones put up a double-double in the Dream's season opener vs. the Mystics with 16 points, 10 rebounds and five assists.

- Shatori Walker-Kimbrough added 3 points for the Dream in Friday's opener.
- Walker-Kimbrough's Dream teammates celebrated her birthday Sunday with some throwback photos of her on T-shirts, including some from her time at Maryland.

- In her debut game with the Phoenix Mercury, Alyssa Thomas dropped 20 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals. She helped the Mercury to an 81-59 win over Seattle Saturday night.
