Terps in the WNBA: Week 2

The second week of the WNBA season is in the books. Let's check in on Maryland's five pros - Kaila Charles (Dallas Wings), Brionna Jones (Atlanta Dream), Diamond Miller (Minnesota Lynx), Alyssa Thomas (Phoenix Mercury) and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough (Atlanta Dream).
 
Kaila Charles
  • Kaila Charles scored a bucket and grabbed 3 rebounds in a tight 85-81 loss at Minnesota on May 21. 
  • On May 24, Charles chipped in 7 points, 2 rebounds, 2 blocks and an assist in a matchup at Atlanta.
brionna jones
  • Brionna Jones helped lead the Dream to a 3-1 week. Through five games, she is averaging 13.8 points and 11.6 rebounds with four double-doubles. 
  • On May 20, she poured in 19 points with 13 rebounds to help Atlanta to a 91-90 win at Indiana. Two days later, the teams met again and Jones added 15 points and 11 rebounds.
  • On May 24, Jones chipped in 11 points and 15 rebounds in an 83-75 win over Dallas.
diamond miller
  • Diamond Miller added a bucket and an assist in the Lynx's 76-70 win over Connecticut on May 24.
alyssa thomas
  • Alyssa Thomas led the Mercury to a 2-1 week with 15.3 points, 8.0 rebounds and 6.3 assists on the week. 
  • She scored 19 points with 5 rebounds and 7 assists in an 89-86 win over Los Angeles on May 21.
  • Thomas scored 16 points and grabbed 11 boards with 7 assists in a matchup with Seattle.
  • She added 11 points with 8 rebounds and 5 assists in a 68-62 win over Washington on May 25.
shatori walker-kimbrough
  • Walker-Kimbrough added 5 points with a rebound, a steal and a block in Atlanta's tight 91-90 win over Indiana on May 21.
  • She scored 5 points with 4 rebounds, an assist and a block in a 79-55 win over Connecticut on May 25.
