COLLEGE PARK, MD – On Wednesday, the University of Maryland women's tennis program announced the signing of Emma Ghiradato, a sophomore transfer from Oklahoma. Ghiradato will be on the 2025-2026 roster for the upcoming season.

Katie Dougherty. "We believe she'll add even more depth and weapons to our singles and doubles line-ups and make an immediate impact in both. Emma is a strong student and a great fit for Maryland and our program"
Ghiradato earned a career-high ranking of 64 in the ITF (International Tennis Federation) and won two singles titles, including the Palermo J3, and three doubles titles, including Vrsar and Asuncion.
Additionally, Ghiradato was the U16 Doubles Italian National Champion in 2021 and made three appearances in the Junior Grand Slam tournaments, Roland Garros, US Open, and Wimbledon.
From Turin, Italy, Ghiradato signed with Oklahoma in June 2024 and joined the team as a freshman for the 2024-2025 season.
