They must have applied to (or enrolled in) a graduate program in an accredited institution for the purpose of pursuing an advanced degree.
"Congratulations to our 2025 M Club Rodman Postgraduate Scholarship recipients," said Marjorie Bollinger Baker (Cross-Country/Track & Field '02), chair of the selection committee. "The M Club is proud to award 10 scholarships this year to outstanding student-athletes representing eight different sports. Our selection committee was humbled and inspired by the stories shared in their applications—stories that spoke of perseverance, purpose, and the transformative power of the student-athlete experience at Maryland. Whether just graduating or already enrolled in graduate programs, these Terps continue to view the M Club as a lasting part of their journey. We are honored to support them as they take the next step in their academic and professional pursuits, and we celebrate them as shining examples of how we live our mission of Athletes Helping Athletes."
"Maryland Athletics and the Terrapin Club are proud to partner with the M Club in awarding $50,000 in postgraduate scholarship support to these deserving 10 Terrapins," said Senior Associate Athletic Director/Chief Development Officer Kirby Mills. "Since it was established in 2006 through the generosity of the Rodman family and in honor of former Terps boxer, Leonard Rodman, the postgraduate scholarship program has continued to grow and help more and more Maryland student-athletes pursue their goals of earning advanced degrees. This program is the embodiment of the M Club's mission of Athletes Helping Athletes, and I know each and every one of this year's remarkable recipients will continue to make the University of Maryland proud. Thank you to the selection committee and to committee chair, Marjorie Baker, for their excellent work in selecting this year's winners, coming from the largest pool of nominees we have ever had."

"I am humbly honored to be a recipient of the M Club Rodman Postgraduate Scholarship and thankful to the M Club and the University of Maryland for helping me be able to pursue my passion of becoming a Physician Assistant at Shenandoah University. This scholarship will help me focus on my studies and reduce financial stress. The M Club has taught me what it means to provide for future generations. My time as a student-athlete at the University of Maryland has impacted my life in many ways that often leave me speechless, as I have learned the value of resilience, dedication, and collaboration, which I hope to help provide to the next generation of Terps. Despite the physical and mental challenges I have faced during my four years here, one thing that has never changed is the unwavering support I have received from the Maryland Athletics community. I have learned the importance of an uplifting and encouraging community, which has driven me to stay motivated, remember my purpose, and learn how to become a leader. I can say with confidence that my personal and professional development is attributable to the exceptional programming and guidance from alumni and the administration here at Maryland. Thank you for these positive and rewarding experiences, and I hope to be a supporting factor in continuing the development of these programs and opportunities for athletes in the future. I am so grateful to call myself a Terp, and I can't wait to return to campus and support future Terps! Thank you, M Club!"

"I am honored to be selected as a M Club Rodman Post Graduate Scholarship recipient. The University of Maryland and the athletic department have shown me nothing but love and support throughout my educational career. This award is a result of the many people who have pushed me to do my best and always act in a professional manner. My development as a student athlete has prepared me for the many challenges that lie ahead. I am thankful to the M club as this scholarship serves as a tremendous investment in my future. Maryland is and will always be my home. I could not be prouder to continue my education at this institution."

"I'm incredibly honored to be a M Club Rodman Postgraduate Scholarship recipient. The support and opportunities the University has provided me have shaped my collegiate journey and me as a person and a professional. This award allows me to commit to continued learning and also to continue to stay here at Maryland. It inspires me to continue making a meaningful impact and using my voice in the next chapter of my academic and professional career. I am grateful for the M Club and their continued support as I finish my collegiate athletic experience and continue into my professional one."

"I am incredibly grateful to have received the M Club Rodman Postgraduate Scholarship. Being a student-athlete at the University of Maryland is about more than competing for the Terps; it's about being part of a community of inspiring, passionate, and caring individuals. I attribute so much of my professional development to Maryland Made, where I was able to participate in SAAC and Gossett Fellows as well as collaborate with the Pre-Health Terps. I am so fortunate to have had the opportunity to advance my career through these initiatives, and am eager to pay it forward as I study public health at George Washington University with the help of this scholarship!"

"I am extremely honored and grateful to receive the M Club Rodman Postgraduate Scholarship. It is encouraging and heartening to know that the support system I have had these past four years will follow me into the next venture of my life. I offer my deepest gratitude to the University of Maryland and the M Club for supporting me in my aspirations and ambitions. This scholarship will aid me through my master's program in Security and Terrorism Studies here at the University of Maryland, and being a recipient reinforces my desire to assist and protect others. The M Club's principle of athletes helping athletes is a system that I plan to give back to in my future, and I intend to help continue the wonderful support system present here in our athletics."

"I'm incredibly honored to receive the M Club Rodman Postgraduate Scholarship. As I work toward completing my master's in finance, this support empowers me to pursue a career where I can create a meaningful impact through leadership and connection. Maryland has shaped me in every way —athletically, academically, and personally —and I'm excited to continue representing the University of Maryland beyond the golf course. As an international student from Mexico, this recognition holds deep meaning. It reflects the values I carry from home and the journey my family and I have taken to get here. I will always carry Maryland pride with me, wherever my journey leads. I'm especially grateful to my family for their unconditional support, to my Coach Kelly G. Hovland for her constant guidance on and off the golf course, and to the M Club for believing in me and supporting my next chapter."

"Receiving the Rodman Postgraduate Scholarship is truly an honor, and I am incredibly grateful to the M Club for their continued support of student-athletes. Maryland provided me with an invaluable experience as an athlete, giving me the opportunity to explore my academic interests while competing in one of the best leagues in the nation. This scholarship will help me as I continue my academic and professional journey, allowing me to fully focus on my education. The lessons I've learned at Maryland, both in athletics and academics, have shaped who I am today, and I am excited to carry that legacy forward!"

"I am incredibly honored to receive the M Club Rodman Postgraduate Scholarship. Being part of the Maryland student-athlete community shaped who I am today, instilling in me discipline, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose, and I'm deeply grateful for the continued support as I pursue my legal education. This award is a powerful reminder of the enduring Terp network, and I'm excited to carry that spirit forward in my corporate law career—with the goal of one day giving back to the Maryland community that has given me so much." — Hannah Warther (Women's Lacrosse '21)

"I am incredibly honored to receive the M Club Rodman Postgraduate Scholarship. The M Club has been a constant source of support throughout my journey, allowing me to achieve my academic and professional goals while competing at the highest level. This scholarship gives me the opportunity to continue pursuing my passion as I work toward my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Baylor University. I'm always proud to be a Terp!"
The M Club Rodman Postgraduate Scholarship was established in 2006 with a $260K gift in the form of a life insurance policy for Leonard Rodman, a former Maryland Boxer and graduate of the class of 1943. Since his death, Rodman's endowment has allowed the M Club to award nearly $250,000 in postgraduate scholarship support to 46 Maryland student-athletes to continue their education. In 2012, Rodman was inducted into the Maryland Athletics Hall of Fame posthumously for meritorious service in recognition of his lifelong commitment to Maryland student-athletes. Rodman's son, Roy, and grandson, Nolan, now continue his legacy of Athletes Helping Athletes through their ongoing generous support of the M Club and Maryland Athletics.
