Terrapins to Play in EuroBasket 2025

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Incoming freshman Lea Bartelme and former Terrapin Eleanna Christinaki are set to play in the EuroBasket 2025 event beginning Wednesday in Bologna, Italy. Bartelme is on the Slovenian National Team and Christinaki is on the Greek National Team.

Bartelme and the Slovenian team will open competition at 11:30 a.m. ET Wednesday vs. Lithuania. Christinaki and team Greece will open play Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with a matchup vs. Switzerland in Piraeus, Greece. Both games will be streamed HERE.

Bartelme averaged 11 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists in the EuroBasket U20 event last summer. She helped lead the Slovenian team to fifth in the U20 European championship in 2024 and led the team in scoring and assists. She competed with the Slovenian National Team this winter. Bartelme was named one of the 20 rising stars in European Basketball.
