Terps in the WNBA: Week 5

The fifth week of the WNBA season is in the books. Let's check in on Maryland's six pros - Chloe Bibby (Golden State Valkyries), Kaila Charles (Dallas Wings), Brionna Jones (Atlanta Dream), Diamond Miller (Minnesota Lynx), Alyssa Thomas (Phoenix Mercury) and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough (Atlanta Dream).
 
Chloe Bibby
  • On June 15, her birthday, Chloe Bibby was signed by the Golden State Valkyries.
Kaila Charles
  • On June 14, Charles was waived by the Wings. 
  • On June 17, the Wings resigned Charles to a hardship waiver. That night, she contributed 10 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals off the bench in the Wings' win over the Valkyries.
brionna jones
  • Brionna Jones and the Dream went 3-1 this week. 
  • She added 13 points and 11 rebounds vs. the Sky on June 13, then 13 points vs. the Liberty on June 17.
diamond miller
  • Diamond Miller and the Lynx are 11-1.
  • Miller came in off the bench Tuesday night and provided a huge spark for the Lynx in a Commissioner's Cup victory. Miller went 4-5 from the floor, 2-2 from outside the arc for 12 points. 
alyssa thomas
  • After missing four games due to injury, Thomas returned to the Mercury lineup and posted back-to-back double-doubles.
  • She added 11 points and 10 assists in a win over Dallas on June 11, then added 14 points and 13 assists vs. Las Vegas on June 15.
shatori walker-kimbrough
  • Walker-Kimbrough saw action in all four of Atlanta's games this week.
