
Terrapins Release Non-Conference Slate

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The Maryland women's basketball team released its non-conference schedule for the 2025-26 season Wednesday.
The Terrapins will host 2025 NCAA Tournament participants Princeton and George Mason, as well as local opponent Georgetown at the XFINITY Center this season. Maryland will also take on SEC opponent and NCAA Tournament team Kentucky, as well as Hofstra, in Puerto Rico over Thanksgiving. Click here for the full schedule.
In its home opener, Maryland will welcome Loyola (Md.) to College Park on Monday, Nov. 3. The Terrapins will host UMBC just a few days later on Thursday, Nov. 6.
Maryland will welcome the Hoyas on Sunday, Nov. 9, followed by a matchup vs. Towson, which is led by Terrapin alum and 2006 NCAA Champion Laura Harper, on Thursday, Nov. 13.
The Terps will host Princeton on Sunday, Nov. 16 and George Mason on Sunday, Nov. 23.
The Terrapins will play in the Discover Puerto Rico Classic in Carolina, Puerto Rico over Thanksgiving. Maryland will take on Kentucky on Wednesday, Nov. 26 and Hofstra on Thursday, Nov 27.
The Terps will return to College Park to host Mount St. Mary's on Wednesday, Dec. 3 and Delaware State on Wednesday, Dec. 10. Maryland will take on Central Connecticut State on Friday, Dec. 19.
The full schedule including exhibition matchups, the Big Ten conference schedule, game times and television will be announced at a later date.

The Terrapins earned a record of 25-8 this past season and tied Ohio State for third in the Big Ten with a record of 13-5 in conference play. The Terps advanced to their fourth Sweet Sixteen in five years.
Maryland returns All-Big Ten honorees Bri McDaniel and Kaylene Smikle, as well as starter Saylor Poffenbarger for the 2024-25 season.
Head coach Brenda Frese and her staff signed two transfers in Yarden Garzon (Indiana), Oluchi Okananwa (Duke), as well as freshmen Lea Bartelme, Addi Mack, Rainey Welson, Nicole Fritea and Maria Boiko.
