COLLEGE PARK, MD - Jim Smith, Barry P. Gossett Director of Athletics, joined more than 20 members of the M Club on Wednesday, August 6, to discuss his vision for Maryland Athletics, the department's continued and enhanced partnership with the M Club, and the role of letterwinners in building a championship culture for all 20 sports.

Smith made it clear that letterwinners are the lifeblood of Maryland Athletics and he and the department are committed to working with letterwinners to uphold Maryland's traditions, honor their achievements, foster community and support them after their playing days are over
