COLLEGE PARK, MD – Maryland's Big Ten home opener on Saturday, Oct. 4 against Washington will kickoff at 3:30 PM and be televised on Big Ten Network, it was announced on Monday.
The Terps, who defeated Wisconsin, 27-10 this past Saturday, are off to their second 4-0 start in the last three seasons. Maryland has been dominant thus far in 2025, out-scoring its opponents 130-43, and the Terps are one of just eight teams nationally that haven't trailed in a game this season.
Maryland's defense has allowed just 10.8 points per game, ranking No. 13 nationally. The 43 points allowed through four games is the fewest by a Maryland team since 2013.
Freshman quarterback Malik Washington has accumulated 1,038 passing yards, the most for any Power Conference true freshman since Jayden Daniels in 2019 (1,073). Washington is the first Big Ten quarterback this century to throw for 250 or more yards in his first four career games.
The Huskies are off to a 3-0 start after defeating in-state rival Washington State, 59-24, on Saturday. Washington hosts No. 1 Ohio State this coming Saturday at 3:30 PM ET.
Maryland, which is currently on a bye week, will host Nebraska on October 11 with that game time still to be announced.
