COLLEGE PARK, Md. — The Maryland wrestling team (4-4, 0-3 B1G) completed its second home dual of the season on Sunday, falling 28-11 to Purdue (8-2, 1-1 B1G).
Three Terrapins earned victories in the matchup, beginning at 133 pounds. No. 16 Braxton Brown recorded his second technical fall of the season, defeating Blake Boarman 19-2. At 149, No. 7 Carter Young continued his undefeated run in a Terrapin singlet, securing a 6-3 decision over Purdue's No. 21 Gavin Brown for another ranked win.
AJ Rodrigues closed out Maryland's wins, improving to 4-2 in dual matches with a 15-9 victory over Purdue's Isaac Ruble in a back-and-forth contest.
The Terps return to action on Sunday, January 18, when they travel to face No. 23 Indiana at 1 p.m.
