Before Maryland:
- Competed in Big Ten dual action against Northwestern, Wisconsin, Purdue, and Indiana
- Took a redshirt season winning eight matches in open competition.
- Won four by decision, two by pin and one by major decision.
- Pinned two opponents: Meyer Rosen (Bucknell) at 3:58 and Alex Reed (Lock Haven) at 4:45 at the Edinboro Open (2/16).
- Also competed at Tiger Style Invite (11/9) and George Mason Patriot Open (12/8)
