COLLEGE PARK, MD — Maryland took down Iowa in five sets (25-20, 13-25, 25-22, 19-25, 15-10) on Thursday night for its first conference win of the season. The Terps stayed unbeaten at home in 2026 as they improved to 11-3 (1-2 Big Ten) on the season.
Ava Brown led the way with her career-high 18 kills, seven digs, and three blocks, while Brooklynne Brass collected a career-high 18 kills, nine digs and two aces. Eva Rohrbach tallied 12 kills and Sydney Bryant contributed 11 in Thursday's battle. Sara Toth had a brilliant night with a career-high 56 kills.

Maryland and Iowa battled again in the third set, and the Terps came away with a 25-22 win before Iowa forced a winner-take-all fifth set with a 25-19 win in the fourth frame.
