Two key pitching performances earned the Terps a season-opening series win.
Yeager made his first start of the season on the bump for the Terps. He worked a strong 2026 debut with four innings of one-run, four-hit ball, fanning two across 60 pitches.

Runs were hard to come by in the early parts of Saturday's contest. An inning later, Ryan Costello — who homered in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader — ripped an RBI single up the middle to give the Terps a 2-1 lead and get to the Seahawks' bullpen and give the Maryland arms a lead to protect.
David Mendez brought in an insurance run with a sacrifice-fly in the eighth inning before Rylen Stockton and Antonio Morales put the Terps' win on ice with a pair of RBI singles in the ninth.Terps lead!
