Aine Reade Named Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Each week during the 2025-26 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week.

This week's Terp of the Week is sophomore Aine Reade of Maryland gymnastics. In the Terps' second road meet of the season, a dual meet against Illinois, Reade delivered standout performances across multiple events. Competing fourth on bars and anchoring the floor lineup, she posted a meet-winning 9.900 on floor and the same mark on bars.Reade also competed in the all-around, scoring a 9.775 on both vault and beam, helping Maryland secure a 196.275–195.725 victory over Illinois.

The No. 24 Terrapins (5-1) will host Rutgers (4-3) in a dual meet Saturday, Feb. 7, at the XFINITY Center at 6:00 p.m. Admission is free, and the meet will be streamed on B1G+.
