The Ragin’ Cajuns scored four in the ninth inning to steal the first game of the weekend series.
Ryan Costello belted a three-run homer in the top of the third to open Friday's scoring, plating both Brayden Martin and Ty Kaunas, who were both on base for the second time in the first three innings. Costello leads Maryland in both homers (three) and RBIs (10) through the first five games of the season.
David Mendez extended the lead with a solo shot of his own in the following frame. The pair of long balls handed starter Lance Williams an early 4-0 lead to protect in his second start of the season.Third times the charm 😉

Williams had a strong outing, holding Louisiana scoreless through his first four innings of work. The Ragin' Cajuns pushed a run across with an RBI groundout in the fifth, but Williams finished allowing just one run on five hits while collecting five strikeouts across 4.2 innings of work."That was a moonshot right there, Dan"
