
Riegger Wins at Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate

PALM DESERT, CA -- Junior Emil Riegger of the Maryland men's golf team won the individual title at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate event Wednesday at the Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif. As a team, the Terps finished second out of the 23 teams competing.
Riegger shot a 206 (70-69-67), which tied his collegiate career low with 10 strokes under par. He made 16 birdies and birdied or parred 48 of the 54 holes.
Freshman Griffin Barke tied for fifth individually with a score of 208 (69-73-66), which was -8. His combined score of 208 and third round scores of 66 both set new career bests. He made 13 birdies with one eagle.
Freshman Caden Piselli tied for 17th with a career-best score of 213 (71-72-70). His third round score of 70 also set a new career low. He made 12 birdies.
Freshman Cade Kriscunas, competing as an individual, tied for 25th with his career-low score of 214 (69-72-73). He finished two strokes under par with 12 birdies and an eagle.
Sophomore Will Gregware earned a score of 218 (70-75-73), which was +2. He picked up 12 birdies.
Sophomore Benjamin Siriboury earned a season-best score of 221 (76-72-73), which was +5. He made 11 birdies.
As a team, the Terrapins finished 22 strokes under par with a score of 842 (280-286-276), their lowest team score of the year.
