COLLEGE PARK, MD – The Maryland football program has added wide receiver
Chris Durr Jr., it was officially announced on Wednesday. Durr Jr. joins the Terrapins after two productive seasons at Wyoming.
A 5-10, 173-pound junior from Chicago, Durr Jr. totaled 45 receptions for 469 yards and four touchdowns as a sophomore, building on a strong true freshman campaign in 2024 in which he led the Cowboys with 31 catches for 348 yards and one score while appearing in all 12 games.
As a sophomore, Durr. Jr. had four or more catches in seven games, including hauling in seven grabs for a career-high 146 yards in a win over Akron. Durr Jr. had touchdown grabs against Akron, UNI, Colorado and Colorado State.
As a freshman, Durr Jr. recorded a season-high nine receptions for 83 yards against Utah State, the most catches in a game by a Cowboy since 2018. He scored his first career touchdown against Arizona State and made a highlight-reel grab at New Mexico that was featured on SportsCenter's Top-10 plays.
Durr Jr. earned Class 5A First Team All-State honors from the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association as both a junior and senior and was named First Team All-Public League following his senior season of high school. As a senior, he hauled in 68 passes for 1,130 yards and 13 touchdowns, helping lead Morgan Park to a 10-2 record. He also posted 51 receptions for 1,013 yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior.
Durr Jr. has two years of eligibility remaining.
