Terps Slug Way to 15-8 Win Over Providence

Anna McGowan drove in six RBIs in the Terps' second win of the Terrapin Invitational.

COLLEGE PARK, MD — Maryland hit three homers and tallied a season-high 18 hits in its 15-8 win over Providence in the Terrapin Invitational on Saturday evening. Sammi Woods recorded a career-high four-hit day and Anna McGowan drove home six RBIs as the Terps moved to 8-9 on the season and 2-0 at home.

Maryland jumped all over the Friars in the first inning with four runs on four hits. Zayda Rocke blasted a three-run homer to center field after Mariah Penta plated the Terps' first run with an RBI single for her first of three hits on the day.
