Wiegand Throws One-Hit Shutout in 8-0 Win Over UMBC
3/1/2026 3:00:00 PM | Softball
The Terps closed the Terrapin Invitational with a dominant win behind Wiegand’s career day.
Wiegand made her sixth start of the season in the circle on Sunday and dominated UMBC to earn her third win of the season. She only allowed one baserunner across her first four hitless frames, and collected three strikeouts during her career-high six-inning outing. A lone hit in the fifth was the only blemish against her in Maryland's second straight complete-game effort from its pitching staff.⬇️4️⃣Anna gets the Terps on the board!🔥🔥
