CHAMPAIGN, IL — The Terps posted a 195.300 team score at the 2026 Big Ten Gymnastics Championships on Saturday afternoon. Maryland dazzled on the floor with a 49.225 mark as the Terps got the postseason started.
Maryland's afternoon started on the uneven bars. Backed by a pair of matching 9.750 scores from Sarah Saville and Chelsey Dennis, the Terps earned a 48.550 mark.
Madeline Komoroski led the way for Maryland on the beam with a 9.800 tally while Megan Bingham and Rayna Engelmayer logged 9.775 and 9.725 respective marks. The Terps posted a 48.700 team score to claim a 97.250 overall mark midway through the meet.
Maryland moved to its third rotation, where the Terps' trend of dominance on the floor continued with a 49.225 team score. Led by Aine Reade's and Komoroski's 9.900 and 9.875 respective scores, Maryland snared a solid team tally as the Terps continued to build their resume ahead of the NCAA Tournament.
The Terps wrapped their time in Champaign up with a 48.825 score on vault, another event that's been a strength for Maryland in 2026, where the Terps rank 25th nationally on the event. A pair of 9.800 scores from Katrina Mendez-Abolnik and Taylor led to a 195.300 team tally to close the afternoon.
The first session of the 2026 Big Ten Championships took place on Friday night, where Rutgers posted a 195.700 team score, Washington earned a 195.475 mark, Illinois claimed a 195.125 score and Nebraska posted a 195.075.
The third and final session will take place on Saturday night as Minnesota, Michigan, UCLA, and Michigan State compete for conference glory. The Terps will find out their NCAA Tournament regional bid at 12 PM on Mar. 23.
