COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The Maryland Terrapins (11-12) are set to take on No. 9 ranked Virginia Cavaliers (20-5) at Virginia Credit Union Stadium in Fredericksburg, VA. This will mark the 182nd time these teams have faced off. This is the second most common fixture in Maryland's history. First pitch is set for 5:30 p.m. and the game can be watched on ACCNX and listened to on the Maryland Baseball Network.

  • The Maryland Terrapins (11-12, 1-5) continue a challenging seven-game stretch with a midweek matchup against No. 9 Virginia at Virginia Credit Union Stadium. Maryland is coming off a series against top-ranked UCLA, which sits eighth in the RPI, and now faces another tough test in Virginia (seventh in RPI) before hosting USC this weekend, ranked sixth in the latest RPI.
  • The Terps averaged over 10 hits per game over the weekend at UCLA. Ten hits were knocked for extra bases with three of those being home runs.

  • Aden Hill turned in an impressive weekend, recording multi-hit performances in each of the first two games of the series before adding another hit on Sunday. He also went yard on Saturday for his third home run of the season.
  • Jordan Crosland continued his strong March, tallying 18 hits on the month following the weekend. His home run on Sunday was his fourth of the month and fifth of the season. Crosland ranks third on the team with a .314 batting average and is second with a 1.043 OPS.
  • Rylen Stockton totaled four bases over the weekend and now has 43 on the season. He is one of five Terps with 40 or more total bases this seas
  • David Mendez added five hits over the weekend to bring his season total to 25, becoming one of four Terps to reach the 25-hit mark this year.

  • On March 11, Logan Hastings was named to the National Pitcher of the Year watch list.
  • He is holding batters to a .173 average and .94 WHIP.
  • Along with leading the team in WHIP, he also leads in ERA with 2.31 through 23.1 innings pitched.
  • The Maryland native became the first Terp with eight or more strikeouts in a relief appearance since Nate Haberthier on March 12, 2023 vs. Maine. Hastings had eight strikeouts in 3.0 innings pitched against Troy on March 7.

  • Ryan Costello's stardom stands out when he is up to bat. He currently sits at 25 hits, 13 XBH and 19 walks on the season.
  • He clobbered the ball on Sunday for his 10th home run of the season. He is the first Terp to reach double digits and leads all freshmen in the nation.
  • Costello has tallied a team high 58 total bases throughout the season to contribute to his 1.116 OPS. He also leads the team in RBI with 31.

  • Brayden Martin continues to cause annoyance for opposing pitchers. He currently sits on a 53-game on-base streak.
  • He currently leads the team in hits with 33. He also sits at the top for batting average with a .359 mark.
  • Martin swiped his 10th bag over the weekend, leading the Terps in stolen bases and has a 100% success rate. 
  • Over the weekend he was able to work four walks to bring his total to 21 on the season. Along with leading the team in walks is ranked third in the Big Ten and 55th nationally.
