COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Brayden Martin has been named the No. 57 outfielder in the NCAA by D1Baseball, highlighting his strong start to the 2026 season.
After a standout 2025 campaign,
Brayden Martin has carried that momentum seamlessly into 2026. Through 24 games, he's hitting .365 with a .488 on-base percentage, 35 hits, and 24 runs scored. His 21 walks rank fourth in the Big Ten and 74th nationally, while his hit total sits ninth in the conference and 88th in the country.
Martin is also in the midst of an impressive 54-game on-base streak dating back to March 28, 2025 against Northwestern. In his most recent outing, the Maryland native recorded his 110th career walk, moving him into fifth place in program history. He recently surpassed Head Coach
Matt Swope and major leaguer LaMonte Wade Jr. on the all-time list.
Another area of growth has been on the basepaths. After stealing six bases in both 2024 and 2025, Martin is a perfect 10-for-10 in stolen base attempts this season — a mark that ranks fourth in the Big Ten.
