Thank You, Terp Nation, for a Record-Breaking Giving Day

Terp Nation,

On behalf of everyone at Maryland Athletics, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our incredible fans, alumni, and supporters who made this year's Giving Day a truly historic one. Because of your generosity and pride in the red, black, white, and gold, 1,109 donors stepped forward to support Maryland Athletics, smashing our previous Giving Day record of 786 donors. We also set a record for total amount raised with $632,071.

This remarkable show of support demonstrates the passion that defines Terp Nation. Your gifts—no matter the size—make a direct impact on the experience we provide our student-athletes. From scholarships and training resources to academic support and championship-level facilities, your commitment helps ensure our Terps have the tools they need to succeed in competition, in the classroom, and in life.

This year's Giving Day was also special because of the incredible energy surrounding it across our programs. Our coaches proudly participated at a 100% level, rallying their communities and encouraging supporters to invest in the future of Maryland Athletics. Their leadership and enthusiasm made a tremendous difference.

Just as inspiring was the way our student-athletes embraced Giving Day. Many of them stepped forward to support the effort themselves, including gifts made from 100% of our football team. Their participation reflects the pride they feel in representing this university and their belief in giving back to the programs that help shape their journey.

Giving Day is always about more than a single number, it's about the strength of the Maryland community. This year, you showed once again that when Terp Nation comes together, we can accomplish extraordinary things.

Notably, the outpouring of gifts from former Terps was significant. The list of donors included legends: Lonny Baxter, Steve Francis, Laura Harper, Brionna Jones, Drew Nicholas, Nick Novak, Derik Queen and Joe Smith.

Your support comes at an incredibly important time in college athletics, and the momentum we are building will help position Maryland Athletics for continued success in the years ahead.

Thank you for believing in our student-athletes, our programs, and the future of the Terps.

The future is bright, and thanks to you, we are just getting started.

Go Terps!
