EUGENE, OR – The University of Maryland women's tennis team won against Oregon 4-2 in an absolute thriller of a match!
In the doubles matchups, Oregon got its point after
Magdalena Baniak and
Oliwia Orlinska forced their match to a three-set tiebreak, ultimately falling.
After taking a 2-0 lead as
Oliwia Orlinska was defeated, the Terps picked up four points in a row with victories from
Emma Ghirardato,
Ema Kovacevic,
Magdalena Baniak, and, lastly, senior veteran
Tamari Gagoshidze.
Gagoshidze's 7-5 win in the third set clinched the Terps the victory, improving them to 9-1!
The match was called after the clinch.
