Tolu Akinduro To Compete In NCAA Indoor Track Championships

COLLEGE PARK, MD - Tolu Akinduro delivered a historic performance at the Big Ten Indoor Track and Field Championships, breaking a 24-year-old program record in the triple jump and qualifying for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, AR.

Akinduro placed second overall in the triple jump with a mark of 13.36 meters, setting a new school record and earning Second Team All-Big Ten honors. The mark surpassed the previous program record that had stood for more than two decades.

With the performance, Akinduro secured a spot at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, where she will compete against the nation's top collegiate athletes.

The NCAA Indoor Championships will take place in Fayetteville, AR., with Akinduro scheduled to compete at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 14. The meet will be streamed live on ESPN.
