Terps Fall to No. 18 Oregon in Series Opener

Bailey Murphy had two of Maryland’s hits on Friday night.

COLLEGE PARK, MD — The Terps fell 11-0 to No. 18 Oregon on Friday night in the first contest of a three-game weekend series. Bailey Murphy logged a two-hit night, but two big innings from the Ducks dropped the Terps to 14-24 (1-15 Big Ten) in 2026. 
 
The Ducks broke the game open with a five-run third inning that featured a three-run homer off the bat of Emma Cox. Maryland was limited to three hits against No. 18 Oregon, two of which came from the Terps' right fielder in the seventh-ever meeting between the two schools. 

Oregon loaded the bases with nobody out in the fourth, giving way to another four-run inning that sealed the Ducks' 30th win of the season. Maryland gets another crack at Oregon (30-9, 11-2 Big Ten) on Saturday at 2 PM.
