David Mendez’s three-hit day highlighted the Terps’ winning effort on Sunday afternoon.
Maryland did most of its damage in its seven-run seventh inning. The Terps opened the inning with five straight singles as Mendez and Devin Russell collected RBIs. Brayden Ryan held the Hawkeyes to just three earned runs across his five-inning outing on Sunday afternoon. He worked a pair of clean innings and collected a trio of strikeouts as the first of only two Terps to toe the rubber in the series finale.
