COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Each week during the 2025-26 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week.
This week's Terp of the Week is Armanie Coleman of the Maryland Track and Field Team.
Armanie Coleman set a new Maryland record in the 100 meters and helped the Terps run the third fastest 4x100 meter relay in program history at the Virginia Challenge on Friday and Saturday.
Coleman took third place overall in the 100 meters with a time of 11.49 seconds. That time surpassed the previous Maryland record of 11.50 set by Leona Taylor in 1979 - the oldest women's program record that was still on the books.
She then anchored the 4x100 meter relay squad which finished second overall in 45.07 seconds - the third fastest time in program history. Coleman has now been the anchor leg in Maryland's top four fastest 4x100 relay teams.
Maryland Track and Field returns to action later this week April 23rd-25th at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, PA at 10:00 a.m. all three days.
