COLLEGE PARK, MD — Each week during the 2025–26 season, a Maryland student-athlete who has demonstrated excellence both on and off the field of competition is selected as the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week.

This week's honoree is junior Diya Challa of the women's tennis team!

Challa won both of her singles matches and two doubles matches, helping Maryland reach the Big Ten Semifinals for the first time in program history. Challa won her singles match against Northwestern in the first round, 6-4, 6-4. Against #12 USC, she won her doubles match against the #29-ranked doubles team, 6-3, and her singles match, 6-3, 6-4. 

Against the #3 seed Michigan, she won her doubles match against the #30 team, 6-3, and her singles match was unfinished.
