Maryland To Celebrate Brenda Frese’s 25th Season at Maryland Through 2026-27 Season

COLLEGE PARK, MD - The Maryland Department of Athletics will celebrate two-time National Coach of the Year Brenda Frese's 25th season leading the Terrapins during the 2026-27 season. 

Season ticket members who renew or purchase by June 30 will receive an exclusive commemorative gift and guaranteed giveaways. Season tickets for Maryland Women's Basketball go on sale April 16 for both new purchases and renewals. Gifts are limited to one per account and only available to members who secure their seats by the June 30 deadline.

Fans interested in becoming season ticket members can fill out the season ticket interest form or call 301-314-7060 to connect with an account representative. After purchasing, eligible members will have the opportunity to select their gift package.

Throughout the 2026–27 season, home games will feature special promotions, giveaways, player appearances, autograph sessions, and more as Maryland celebrates her historic milestone in Maryland Women's Basketball history.

Frese was officially introduced as the Maryland women's basketball head coach on April 3, 2002. In her 24 years in College Park so far, Frese has led the Terrapins to 22 NCAA Tournament berths, 14 conference championships, 12 Sweet Sixteens, seven Elite Eights, three Final Fours and the 2006 NCAA Championship. Frese owns a record of 631-178 (.780) and is the winningest Maryland Basketball coach in school history. Frese is one of four active head coaches to win a national championship, along with Dawn Staley, Geno Auriemma and Kim Mulkey.
