
Five Terrapins Set To Compete In NCAA East Regionals Beginning Wednesday In Lexington

COLLEGE PARK, MD - Five Terrapins are set to compete in the NCAA East Regionals beginning Wednesday, May 27, in Lexington, Kentucky. The regional competition will run through Saturday, May 30.
Roman Spikes and Mehdi Guerrah will compete Wednesday in the 200 meters and 400-meter hurdles, respectively.
Guerrah earned a trip to the regional meet after posting a season-best time of 50.66 seconds. The sophomore also recorded the fifth-fastest mark in program history in the event.
Spikes, a Burtonsville, Maryland, native, posted the second-fastest time in program history in the 200 meters during his sophomore campaign with a mark of 20.58 seconds.
Competition will continue Thursday morning with Morgan Graham competing in the women's hammer throw at 10 a.m. Graham will also compete in the women's discus on Saturday at 1 p.m., an event in which the junior holds the school record.
Rose Coats will compete Thursday night in the 10,000 meters at 9:10 p.m. Coats currently holds the program record in the event with a time of 33:44.57. The junior set the mark earlier this season in pouring rain at the Raleigh Relays.
Jennessa Wolfe will round out the weekend for the Terrapins, competing in the women's high jump Saturday at 2 p.m.
