Maryland Wins Two B1G+ Awards

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Maryland students won two B1G+ Awards during the 2025-26 athletic season, the Big Ten Conference announced on Friday. The fourth annual B1G+ Awards highlighted the hard work of StudentU crews across the conference, and Maryland's work on both a men's soccer match and a men's basketball game earned national recognition.

On Wednesday, Maryland claimed the award for Best Game Coverage — Fall for its B1G+ broadcast of the No. 2 Terps' 1-0 win over No. 14 Washington, the eventual national champion, on Oct. 31.

Maryland then won its second B1G+ Award for Best Creative Graphic on Thursday with a graphic used during a B1G+ broadcast of Maryland men's basketball's 82-81 win over UMBC in a preseason exhibition on Oct. 27.

Maryland won two of the nine B1G+ Awards for the 2025-26 season and was one of three schools to claim multiple accolades, joining Indiana and UCLA. StudentU crews from Michigan, Michigan State and Nebraska each won one of the remaining three awards.
