Maryland Field Hockey Opens Up 2026 Season With First Practice

COLLEGE PARK, MD - The University of Maryland Field Hockey held its first practice of the 2026 season on Friday, August 7.
The Terrapins will open up 2026 competition with a home matchup against Drexel on August 28th at noon. Maryland leads Drexel 10-0 all-time with the most recent matchup occurring in 2024 at the Maryland Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex where the Terrapins won 2-0.
The Terps are returning a lot of key contributors from the 2025 roster including Josie Hollamon, Alyssa Klebasko, Maci Bradford, and Jordyn Hollamon. Some fresh faces on the roster are set to have an immediate impact on the 2026 team including Rachael Whitehead, Babs van Hest, and Francisca Eschoyez.
