The Terps suffered their first loss on Tuesday night in the Big Ten-SEC Challenge.
NASHVILLE, TN — Maryland volleyball fell in its early-season test against an SEC opponent as Vanderbilt swept (25-18, 25-15, 25-19) the Terps (1-1) on Tuesday night in the Big Ten-SEC Challenge.
Sydney Bryant had a team-high nine kills on the night and freshman Ava Brown continued her hot start to her collegiate career with six, but Vanderbilt used eight aces to claim its third win of the young season.

- Bryant recorded Maryland's first kill of the evening.
- Vanderbilt used a 4-0 run to take an early lead.
