The Terps secured their 15th 5-0 start in program history with their win over the Tigers.

COLLEGE PARK, MD — The No. 7 Terps used a four-goal third quarter to cruise past Towson with a 6-0 victory on Friday night. Jordyn Hollamon recorded her first career hat trick as Maryland improved to 5-0 for the 15th time in program history and first time since 2022.

Prior to Friday's game, Maryland honored the memories of the victims of 9/11 on its 25th anniversary. The Terps out-shot Towson (2-3) 13-1 in the first half, but were unable to break through until their explosive third quarter. Jordyn Hollamon scored thrice in the frame to secure her first career hat trick, and the program's first since 2024. Kendall Gilmore also scored her first career goal in the decisive third quarter.

Ryleigh Osborne made her first career start in the cage on Friday night and posted a shutout of the Tigers. Maryland blanked Towson for the 24th time in the 34-game series history. Ella Fehr (three assists) and Babs van Hest scored late goals to cap off the impressive offensive performance. The Terps are back in action on Sunday against Saint Joseph's as they look to stay unbeaten in 2026.

How it Happened:
1st Quarter:

The Terps took six corners in the first three minutes.
Jordyn Hollamon put a shot on goal in the ninth minute, prompting Towson's first save
Maryland recorded nine shots and took nine corners in the scoreless first quarter.

2nd Quarter:

Maryland opened the frame with another shot from van Hest in the 18th minute.
Towson fought off Maryland's 10th penalty corner in the 20th minute.
Osborne made a save in the 25th minute.
The Terps took another corner and Josie Hollamon tallied a shot in the 30th minute.
Maryland and Towson were tied 0-0 at halftime.

3rd Quarter:

Jordyn Hollamon's goal (1) opened the scoring in the 33rd minute.
Osborne made her second save on a penalty corner in the 38th minute.
Gilmore's goal doubled the lead in the 38th minute. Fehr (1) assisted on the goal.
Jordyn Hollamon's (2) second goal of the quarter came in the 40th minute as Fehr (2) and Djuna Eikelboom (1) tallied assists.
Jordyn Hollamon (3) scored again in the 44th minute to secure her hat trick. van Hest (6) assisted on the goal.
The Terps took a 4-0 lead into the final frame.

4th Quarter:

Another shot from van Hest got the quarter started.
Maryland fought off a Towson corner in the 54th minute.
Fehr (1) scored in the 59th minute. Feliz Kuhne assisted (1) on the goal.
The Terps' six goal from van Hest (2) sealed their win. Fehr assisted (3) on the goal.
The Terps moved to 5-0 with their 6-0 victory.
