- #12-ranked Washington put a bevy of shots on target and opened the night's scoring with a goal in the 23rd minute. The Huskies added a second goal in the 56th minute to improve to 6-0-1 (1-0 Big Ten) on the season.
- Goalkeeper Faith Luckey made five saves for the Terrapins, but a lack of offensive opportunities saw Maryland fall to Washington in the fourth all-time meeting between the two schools. The Terps will stay out west to face Oregon on Sunday.
