Maryland’s 7-1 record is its best through eight matches since 2021.

COLLEGE PARK, MD — Maryland volleyball earned its sixth straight win with a sweep (25-13, 25-7, 25-16) of Saint Peter's on Sunday afternoon. The Terps used a bevy of long scoring runs to improve to 7-1 in 2026 while dropping the Peacocks to 0-10.

Raina Chwialkowski delivered a career-high four aces, while Haley Melby led the offensive charge with 11 kills. Sydney Bryant and Ava Brown each recorded seven kills and Eva Rohrbach tallied six blocks in the dominant win. Sara Toth racked up 29 assists and Chwialkowski led the team with 11 digs. Chwialkowski, Toth and Melby were named to the Maryland All-Tournament Team.

The Terps earned a quick win for their sixth straight victory. They earned their fifth straight sweep for the first time since 2021. Maryland had a historic second set against the Peacocks on Sunday. In defeating Saint Peter's 25-7, the Terps allowed their fewest points in a 25-point set since 2021.

How it Happened:
1st Set:

Maryland stormed out to a 6-0 lead.
Chwialkowski delivered Maryland's first ace as the lead extended to 11-3.
A Bryant kill sent the Terps into the media break leading 15-6.
A 5-1 run put Maryland ahead 21-9.
The Terps took the first set, 25-13.

2nd Set:

Two blocking efforts from Rohrbach helped open a 3-0 Maryland lead.
An ace from Rohrbach highlighted a dominant 6-0 run that extended the Terps' advantage to 11-2.
Maryland's second 6-0 run of the set featured two Chwialkowski aces and extended the lead to 19-5.
The Terps took the second set 25-7.

3rd Set:

Chwialkowski recorded another ace as Maryland started the set on a 5-0 run.
Rohrbach kept the Terps up 9-3 with a kill.
Elayna Davidson used an ace to give Maryland a 15-10 lead.
A 7-1 run put the set away.
Maryland closed out the match with a 25-16 set win.
