The Terps continued their hottest streak since 2021 with a sixth straight sweep on Thursday afternoon.

GREENVILLE, NC — The Terps swept Campbell (25-20, 25-14, 25-21) on Thursday afternoon to open the ECU Tournament and improve to 8-1 in 2026. Maryland swept its sixth straight opponent as its best start to a season since 2021 continued.

The Terps benefited from a wealth of production as Sydney Bryant (11 kills), Eva Rohrbach (10 kills, three blocks), Ava Brown (seven kills, 3.5 blocks), Duru Gökçen (five kills, 4.5 blocks), and Raina Chwialkowski (15 digs) all posted strong performances against the Camels (3-6).

Maryland opened the afternoon with a 25-20 victory in the first set. Bryant led the way with five kills while Sara Toth recorded her first 14 of 36 total assists she accumulated on Thursday. Two separate 5-0 runs in the second frame propelled the Terps to a 25-14 set win before the Terps secured their sixth straight sweep — and seventh straight win — with a 25-21 victory in the third set.

The Terps' seven-match winning streak marks their longest since 2024 while their stretch of six consecutive sweeps is their best since 2021. Maryland is back in action on Friday against East Carolina as the ECU Tournament rolls on.

How it Happened:
1st Set:

Bryant recorded the Terps' first kill of the afternoon as Maryland opened a 3-1 lead.
An ace from Brown extended the lead to 8-3.
Maryland pulled away with a 5-0 run as Bryant and Rohrbach delivered kills.
Another Bryant kill pushed the lead to 16-9.
The Camels pulled closer with a 5-1 run.
A kill from Haley Melby sealed Maryland's 25-20 set win.

2nd Set:

Brooklynne Brass delivered an early ace as Maryland jumped out to a 7-2 lead.
Another Brown ace highlighted a 5-0 run.
A kill from Toth gave Maryland a 15-7 lead at the media break.
Three straight kills from Rohrbach, Gökçen, and Bryant extended the lead to 20-8.
Maryland secured the second set 25-14.

3rd Set:

Bryant recorded the first kill of the set.
The Terps claimed a 7-6 lead with a 3-0 run.
Campbell reclaimed the lead with a 5-0 run.
The Camels led 15-13 at the media timeout.
Maryland pulled back ahead with a 5-1 stretch.
The Terps ended the match with a 25-21 set win.
