The Terps hung with one of the nation’s top teams on Thursday night at Ludwig Field.

COLLEGE PARK, MD — Maryland fell 1-0 to No. 14 Wisconsin on Thursday night at Ludwig Field. The Terps hung tight with one of the top teams in the nation, but dropped to 3-6-1 (0-4 Big Ten) on the season.

Faith Luckey and Meredith Fisher both saw action in goal for Maryland on Thursday night. Luckey posted three saves and only relented one goal to the ranked Badgers (7-1-2, 3-0-1 Big Ten) in the first half before Fisher posted a blank second frame.

Maryland remains in College Park to face No. 21 UCLA on Sunday at Ludwig Field.

Wisconsin logged the match's first shot in the sixth minute.
Peyton Bernard recorded Maryland's first shot in the 12th minute.
Mckinley Heaven put up a shot in the 18th minute.
Wisconsin scored in the 25th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
Luckey made a series of saves late in the half.
Ellie Egeland put a shot on net in the 42nd minute.
The Badgers led 1-0 at the break.

2nd Half:

Ella Petry put a shot on target early in the frame.
Fisher made her first save in the 57th minute.
The Terps fought off a Wisconsin corner in the 81st minute.
The Badgers held on for their 1-0 win.
