NEWTON, MA — The No. 13 Terps continued their unbeaten start to the 2026 season with a strong 2-0 win over Boston College to open the B1G/ACC Challenge on Friday evening. A pair of early goals and four saves from Alyssa Klebasko lifted Maryland to its fourth 3-0 start in the last five years.

Francisca Eschoyez opened the scoring with her third goal of 2026 in the first quarter while Klebasko made three early saves in the first 15 minutes. She recorded her 18th career shutout and 38th career win on Friday night.

Feliz Kuhne got on the board for the first time this season early in the second quarter to double the lead. Babs van Hest collected a pair of assists in the first half while Maryland peppered the cage with quality scoring opportunities.

The Terps held the Eagles (1-2) to one shot in the second half as Maryland improved its all-time record against Boston College to 18-4. The Terps will wrap up the B1G/ACC Challenge on Sunday against No. 6 Duke as Maryland hunts its first 4-0 start since 2022.

How it Happened:
1st Quarter:

Klebasko made her first save in the opening minute.
Eschoyez scored (3) to give Maryland the lead with assists from Maia Adamson (1) and Van Hest (3).
Klebasko made back-to-back saves in the ninth and 10th minutes to keep Maryland ahead.
The Terps took their 1-0 lead into the second frame.

2nd Quarter:

Kuhne's goal (1) in the 21st minute doubled the lead. Maci Bradford (4) and Van Hest (4) assisted on the goal.
The Eagles made their first save of the day on a shot from Eschoyez in the 23rd minute.
Klebasko made her fourth save in the 26th minute.
Maryland took its 2-0 lead into the half.

3rd Quarter:

The Eagles made a save on an Adamson shot in the 34th minute.
The Terps held Boston College shotless in the frame and took their 2-0 lead into the final quarter.

4th Quarter:

Boston College made a pair of saves in the 55th minute.
Maryland closed out its 2-0 win and 3-0 start to the season.
